LIC Bima Sakhi Yojana Apply Online : With the aim of increasing the literacy level of women in the country by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and to enable educated women of rural areas to become partners in the insurance sector, the Bima Sakhi Yojana has been launched from the state of Haryana from 9th December 2024.
While implementing this scheme at the national level, a target of 3 years has been set under which insurance agents will be made for more than 2 lakh women of the country and through them various types of insurance will be done in rural areas.
According to the target, only 35000 women will be selected from among the women who applied in the initial year of Bima Sakhi Yojana and only they will be given training in the insurance sector. After training, these women will also be given monthly stipend in different ways for 3 years.

Eligibility for Bima Sakhi Scheme
The following rules have been implemented by the government in the Bima Sakhi scheme.
- Under the Bima Sakhi Scheme, women mainly from rural areas are to be made insurance agents.
- In this scheme, only women educated up to class 10th or above will be selected.
- Initially, only 35,000 women will be selected from all the states of the country including Haryana.
- A monthly salary of ₹7000 will be given to the selected women in the first year of the scheme.
- Apart from this, an amount of ₹ 6000 will be given in the second year and ₹ 5000 in the third and final year.
Budget of Insurance Sakhi Scheme
The central government has released a budget of Rs 100 crore in the initial year of the Bima Sakhi scheme and from this budget, the training of 35000 selected women will be completed and they will also be given a monthly salary of up to Rs 7000 every month on the basis of insurance. This budget released is very commendable for the Bima Sakhi scheme.

Age limit for Bima Sakhi Yojana
The government has made women above 18 years of age eligible for the Bima Sakhi scheme. Women who are above 18 years of age and want to become insurance agents in this scheme can apply keeping in mind their other qualifications. Please note that the maximum age limit in the scheme has been limited to 70 years.
